Precision Meets Design
At first glance, DICE is a simple glass cube. But true design lies in the details.
What appears minimal is, in fact, a highly complex piece of craftsmanship. The cube form demands absolute precision – even the slightest misalignment in a glass pane or a frame edge becomes immediately visible. To meet this challenge, the structural frame is 3D-printed with ultra-fine tolerances – accurate to tenths of a millimeter. But it doesn’t stop there. The frame itself is not a single piece – it's a puzzle of 36 individual components, meticulously assembled to ensure both strength and visual perfection. Each glass panel is custom-fitted. The wooden grain flows seamlessly across the surfaces, requiring careful selection and orientation of each piece.
DICE also features a floating light effect, giving the cube a surprising lightness despite its solid geometry – a play between material and illusion. Every DICE lamp undergoes multiple detailed processes and takes several hours to complete. It’s not mass production – it’s a precise and deliberate creation where design, technology, and craftsmanship meet.
